The children have been busy uncovering what life is like in the world’s coldest places, learning about the Arctic and Antarctica through stories, discussions, and hands-on activities. They’ve enjoyed working with images from Poles Apart and using them to support their early writing skills.

The Reception children at Stokenham absolutely love their weekly Forest School sessions. It’s a special time for them to explore, learn about the natural world, and immerse themselves in outdoor experiences.
These sessions help the children develop a wide range of skills—from teamwork and problem-solving to confidence and creativity—all while enjoying the wonders of nature.
