English

Weslandia by Paul Fleishman

Children will use Weslandia as inspiration to develop a range of writing skills. They will retell the story, write a non-chronological report in the form of a brochure, and design their own civilisation, applying grammar and spelling skills throughout.

The Ever-Changing Earth by Grahame Baker-Smith

Children will use The Ever-Changing Earth to develop their writing through a range of outcomes. They will respond to questions using scientific vocabulary, create an explanation leaflet about the Northern Lights, and finish by continuing the story in their own writing.
